Mike Dimes made sure he did right by a fan who lost their phone during his set at this year’s Rolling Loud Miami festival.

After the Texas rapper’s performance on July 23, a fan took to the comments section of one of Dimes’ social media posts from the event. “Lost my phone at this set,” they wrote.

Dimes saw the comment and replied: “What’s ur addy? Gonna send u a new phone.”

Once the fan received the new phone, they shared a photo of it online. “Went to @mikedimes set at Rolling Loud and lost my phone,” the new phone owner wrote. “He found out about it and immediately reached out and sent me a new one out of his own pocket.”

The fan concluded: “Not many like him.”

When RAPTV reshared the article, the “TALK2ME” rapper commented and said he was also offering free houses. “Coppin houses for people who lost em at my show,” Dimes wrote.

This will be the first Rolling Loud to take place in Canada and its fourth festival in four different countries in 2022. The lineup will include a mix of Canadian and American artists from Lil Uzi Vert, Migos, Roddy Ricch, Trippie Redd, and Lil Yachty to Canadians like NAV, Belly, Pressa and Roy Woods. UK talent such as Skepta, Central Cee, and AJ Tracey will also be on the bill.

Mike Dimes’ recent slew of performances comes after he dropped off his debut album In Dimes We Trust back in March. More recently, he remixed the album’s lead single, “Home,” with help from Dreamville’s J.I.D.

“I mean, not to sound very egotistical with it, but I feel like I’m very different,” Dimes said of his music, speaking Complexin 2021. “I make my own type of music. There are similarities, and you could see influences of other rappers, but when you pay attention to the core, it’s really just me, because you’ll hear a song like ‘Home’ and then you’ll hear a song like ‘Snow White’ on my project, and it’s very all over the place. That’s how I am anyway. So it’s very distinct.”
