After thousands of Nicki Minaj fans took to the streets of Camden, London to try and spot their favorite rapper at the local Cafe Koko, The Pinkprint star was unfortunately forced to cancel the meet-up last minute.

The Young Money icon had arranged to meet with fans, but the event quickly spiraled out of control after mobs of people came at Nicki when she did briefly appear. Due to safety reasons, the platinum rapper was whisked back to her SUV and driven away from the scene.

As word spread of her cancelation, a viral video showed a plethora of disgruntled Nicki fans heaving and hawing over the news, with one upset fan in particular drawing attention from the “Anaconda” lyricist herself.

“The girl @ the end is me when I’m in denial about the obvious,” Nicki commented on Twitter. “But I’m in love with the accent. Hear yee hear yee!!! Doth thou…They closed off the roads so I walked 2 blocks down. I said I’m getting down there no Marta WOHT!!!!! I wasn’t getting on my flight w/o that.”

She added some extra love on Twitter, merely writing, “British ppl >>>>>>.”

Nicki did at one point try to tame the crowd with her Twitter fingers but to no avail. Her security ultimately felt it in her best interest not to leave her van.

“Guys, if you don’t get in a contained space they won’t let me get out the cars,” she wrote at the time on Twitter. “Pls don’t run in the streets. Please get in 1 place. 1 line.”

The potential meet and greet had come on the heels of Nicki’s performance at Wireless Festival, which attendees noted was one of the festival’s highlights. She returned the favor by deeming the audience “one of her favorite crowds” she’s ever performed for.

Soon U.S. fans will get to see her as well, as Nicki will tackle Citi Field as the first night headliner of Rolling Loud NYC on September 23.
