Conway The Machine is apparently sick of New York’s DJs. The Griselda Records co-founder took to Instagram Live to air his grievances against Funk Flex and other Big Apple DJs for what he believes is out-of-touch gatekeeping.

“New York, in my opinion, man you gotta get them old n-ggas up out the way like Flex and them n-ggas man,” the Buffalo-bred lyricist said to his fans. “You know what I mean? Them gatekeepers that you got up there man that’s trying to dictate like who, you know what I’m saying? Like c’mon bruh. Good thing I don’t need y’all n-ggas cause if I needed y’all n-ggas y’all n-ggas would be fake stifling my groove.”

Conway The Machine continued by calling out DJ Suss One for his appearance on the The Wendy Williams Show last year, where he listed Conway as one of his Top 5 MCs despite the controversial talk show host not knowing who he was.

“Y’all don’t play my shit. Suss One you got on Wendy William’s show on primetime TV n-gga and said what you said,” Conway noted, confused. “Flex, every chance you get you said that you gotta stand on that. We gotta get rid of y’all n-ggas man. Let some new, young, tapped in, really tapped in with the streets ass n-ggas be the DJ’s and run that shit up there at Hot 97 n-gga and all that shit.

“You weirdo DJ n-ggas think that you run New York n-gga. Y’all is lame clowns. I hate muthafuckin’ the media. I hate you DJ n-ggas. Not all of ’em. Just some of y’all n-ggas in New York City, man. Y’all n-ggas just be doing weirdo shit bruh…like for real y’all gotta move out the way man.”

Conway’s exasperated rant comes after he was also snubbed out of a placement on Brian “B.Dot” Miller’s Top 10 list in June. The omission of Benny The Butcher and Conway sparked a frustrated response from Conway’s blood brother Westside Gunn, who found the Griselda snub to be a laughable offense.

“This n-gga personally didn’t put up @BennyBsf & @WHOISCONWAY,” he wrote on Twitter, along with several crying face emojis. “Click bait duuuuuuuh he knows by not putting them on there will give it the attn it is just like when I just tweeted it, that’s exactly what he wants for the conversation I know for a million fuckin Fakts this is intentional ain’t that right @bdotTM.”

Conway simply shared a sarcastic nod of approval, with “This is a great list.”  Conway dropped off his Shady Records debut God Don’t Make Mistakes in February, which featured appearances from Lil Wayne, Rick Ross, T.I., Beanie Sigel, Westside Gunn, Benny The Butcher, Jill Scott and others.
