Lizzo turned 34 on April 27 and celebrated at Craig’s in West Hollywood with her new beau Myke Wright. As celebratory wishes poured in on social media, the Grammy Award-winning singer was shocked by the greeting Beyoncé sent.
Sharing an old baby photo, Queen Bey simply wrote “Happy Birthday Lizzo” next to it, which led to Lizzo re-sharing the post. Taking to Twitter on Saturday (April 30), Lizzo just wanted to know where Beyoncé was able to find the photo.
“Beyoncé??” she wrote. “Where u get this pic?? I ain’t seen this since I was born.”
In 2020, Lizzo went bananas the first time Beyoncé sent her a birthday greeting, writing on Twitter, “YALL. @beyonce BEY YON SAY wished me a happy birthday BITCH. I don’t know how to ACT. She is my inspiration to be a singer after seeing destiny’s child perform in the 5th grade… I LOVE YOU BEY! Thank You! Let me go drink some damn water.”

Lizzo has made her admiration for Beyoncé crystal clear over the years. For the Destiny’s Child singer’s 40th birthday last September, Lizzo shared an Instagram photo of herself performing with Beyoncé watching from the side of the stage.
She wrote in the caption, “Happy birthday @beyonce — ima keep posting this pic until we take a real one together.”
The photo of Beyoncé watching Lizzo was taken in September 2019 when Lizzo performed at Made In Philadelphia, which was founded by her husband JAY-Z. While the COVID-19 pandemic sidelined the concert industry for roughly two years, it’s been slowly but surely waking up from its slumber.
Lizzo is expected to hit the road this fall with Latto in support of her forthcoming album Special. The tour kicks off in Florida on September 23 and will make stops in New York City, Philadelphia, Boston, Chicago, Indianapolis, Detroit, Houston, Dallas and many more before wrapping up in Los Angeles at The Forum on November 18.
