A trio of rap heavy hitters are in line to potentially collect some hardware at the 2022 Billboard Music Awards in May.

Kanye West, Drake and Doja Cat have double-digit nominations to their credit, with Doja being the top nominated female artist with 14. The Weeknd is the top nominated artist overall with 17 noms, including Top Artist, Top Male Artist and Top Hot 100 Artist while Ye has 13 noms, including a near clean sweep in Top Christian Song and Top Gospel Song categories.

Drake currently holds the record for most Billboard Music Award victories with 29, in addition to his Artist of the Decade honor at the 2021 ceremony. He’ll be competing for Top Artist, Top Male Artist, Top Billboard 200 Artist and Top Hot 100 artist alongside acts such as Justin Bieber, Lil Nas X and his aforementioned “The Crew” collaborator.

In other categories, first-time nominee Latto is up for Top Rap Female Artist alongside Cardi B and Megan Thee Stallion, Juice WRLD, Moneybagg Yo, Lil Baby and Polo G are all nominated for Top Rap Artist. Grammy Award-winning duo Silk Sonic are up for Top Duo/Group, Top R&B Artist, Top R&B Album and Top R&B Song, while Givēon has seven nominations, including Top R&B Artist, Top R&B Male Artist and Top New Artist.

Nicki Minaj Salutes Doja Cat & Lil Baby For Winning Their 1st Grammy Awards

If Doja does take home any number of awards, her acceptance speech may not be as memorable as the one she gave at the Grammys when she and SZA won Best Pop Duo/Group Performance for their “Kiss Me More” collaboration. After SZA took the stage while needing crutches for a fractured ankle, Doja sprinted from the restroom before tearfully taking in the moment, saying part, “I like to downplay shit, but this? It’s a big deal. Thank you, everybody.”
