Tory Lanez’s hair has been the butt of many jokes over the years, and he’s taken the criticism in stride.
The latest comedy round at Tory’s expense happened on Wednesday (April 6), when a video of him leaving a Los Angeles County courthouse found its way online. Fans brought the jokes after seeing the bald spot on the back of the Toronto native’s head. But as usual, the jokes didn’t bother the singer as he took to Twitter to address all the commotion surrounding his hair loss.
“I’m fully aware of the bald spot in the back of my head guys i rap about it all the time … it’s alopecia…. What’s the big deal,” he wrote on Twitter.
It’s unclear if Tory really has alopecia, especially since the hair-loss condition is the topic of conversation following the Will Smith-Chris Rock situation at the Oscars a few weeks ago. Rock made a joke about Smith’s wife, Jada Pinkett-Smith’s bald head without knowing she suffered from the condition. Smith didn’t take the joke too lightly and proceeded to slap the comedian in the face.

The footage of Tory’s bald spot comes from when he posted bail that same day. The singer had been arrested in court after a judge found he was in violation of the criminal protective order set against him. Judge David Herriford found Tory Lanez’s activity on social media targeted Megan Thee Stallion, forcing the arrest in the courthouse.
