Soulja Boy once prayed to be blessed with a son, and it looks like his prayers are being answered. On Saturday (March 19), the 31-year-old rapper shared an Instagram video of himself and his partner at a baby reveal party.
As soon as the blue confetti and colored powder exploded, Soulja Boy started jumping up and down before running over to the baby’s mother to give her a hug. With a giant smile plastered across his face, he then gives her a kiss as they continue to celebrate. His excitement was palpable in the caption as well. “It’s a boy!!” he wrote.
Soulja Boy first expressed his desire to be a father in September 2021 when he wrote in his Instagram Stories, “I have everything I want in life except for a son. God please bless me I’ve been patient.” While Big Draco was inundated with congratulatory remarks, he was also reminded about his failed relationship with Nia Riley, the daughter of musical legend Teddy Riley.

Last May, the former Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta personality — who dated Soulja Boy for nearly a decade — accused him of holding a gun to her head. Speaking to the Unwine With Tasha K podcast, Riley claimed he also leaked nude photographs of her, verbally abused her and assaulted her for refusing to have sex. She even alleged he kicked her in the stomach while she was pregnant, causing her to miscarry.

“We had an incident when I was pregnant,” she said. “I feel like we always did. He absolutely knew I was pregnant … I was, like, fifteen weeks. I don’t think I had even told anybody else that I was pregnant. Truthfully, in my mind, I didn’t know what to do or what I wanted to do.”

She added of the miscarriage, “I’m not sure what time it was when it happened, but I know for sure it was like, that night, like late that night, maybe two, or something, in-the-morning.”
Ex-girlfriend Kayla Myers has also shared claims of abuse and sued Soulja Boy over a February 2019 incident in which she was allegedly kidnapped by him for six hours and abused both physically and sexually, allegations he denies.
