In anticipation for the Super Bowl LVI Halftime Show, Apple and the NFL revealed the official playlist for the event on Friday (February 11).
The playlist features the most iconic tracks from performers Mary J. Blige, Snoop Dogg, Dr. Dre, Eminem and Kendrick Lamar, and throws in a few tracks from other Super Bowl LVI performers Mary Mary, Jhené Aiko, and some 2Pac just for good measure.
“There’s a saying in quite a few American households that goes, ‘Sundays are for football,'”a statement from Apple read regarding the playlist.
“While that may be truer than ever on February 13, this Sunday will also be for groundbreaking hip-hop production, elite-level rapping, and a healthy dose of West Coast hip hop as Dr. Dre takes over the Halftime Show stage alongside Snoop Dogg, Mary J. Blige, Eminem, and Kendrick Lamar.”
As anticipation hits a fever pitch for Sunday’s (February 13) historic show, Eminem said in a recent interview with SiriusXM’s Shade45 he was feeling the pressure.
