A bona fide music icon now into the fourth decade of his career, JAY-Z is no stranger to having his picture taken, whether that’s by professional photographers such as Jonathan Mannion, Jamil GS and Raven B. Varona or regular fans.
Just don’t make Hov wait too long while posing for a picture, as one photographer learned recently. In a clip circulating on social media, JAY-Z is seen posing for a photo with reggae and dancehall legend Barrington Levy at a party, but he soon loses his patience after the pap takes too long to snap the photo.
“You gotta take it faster than that, man!” the usually-calm and collected Hov barks at the person behind the camera, who has clearly never heard his “Big Pimpin” verse (“I got no patience and I hate waitin'”).
The footage is from a party celebrating the release of Netflix’s The Harder They Fall in New York City in November 2021. JAY-Z co-executive produced the film while Barrington Levy contributed to the accompanying soundtrack. (Fortunately, they captured their Kodak Moment in the end.)

Jadakiss, Meek Mill, Fabolous, Conway The Machine and others also attended the star-studded event.
JAY-Z‘s photographer issues don’t end there. The 52-year-old rap legend is currently locked in a legal battle with Jonathan Mannion, the veteran shutterbug behind his Reasonable Doubt, The Blueprint and The Black Album covers.
In June 2021, Hov filed a lawsuit against Mannion for allegedly selling Reasonable Doubt prints of him for thousands of dollars without his permission. In response, Mannion demanded millions of dollars.

The two parties were unable to reach a settlement agreement and the case will now head to trial in July.
