It looks like Snoop Dogg isn’t the only one with a doppelgänger. As Rick Ross was celebrating his 46th birthday in Miami on Friday (January 28), the Maybach Music Group founder ran into a man who looked strikingly similar to Rozay.
With Def Jam Recordings co-founder Russell Simmons looking on, the three laughed away as Ross said to the camera, “You see what’s going on, baby? 2022 is going down. That’s right.”
Simmons admits he couldn’t tell the difference, telling HipHopDX, “I was speaking about my personal business, my non-compete with Rush Card being over in February and details on strategies to build a whole new financial institution for at least five minutes before I realized. It was surreal.”

Ross’ birthday appeared to be a lavish affair. The “Hustlin'” rapper has shared several posts to his Instagram Stories over the last 24 hours that showed off his black-and-white Givenchy birthday cake, custom Ferrari, love for Stevie Wonder’s music and his arrival at the decked out Miami club where he partied with dozens of people.
After all, Rick Ross has plenty of reasons to celebrate — including surviving another year. In 2018, Ross ended up in a Miami area hospital, but it was unclear what exactly landed him there. Ross has had a history of back-to-back seizures over the years and was out of shape.

While speaking toPEOPLE about his memoir Hurricanes, Ross revealed his hospitalization served as a wake-up call. He also admitted his use of codeine led to his condition.
“It was the codeine,” he said matter-of-factly. “That mixed with the things I was drinking, the other drugs I was doing, and on top of not resting. [I don’t think] one particular thing would have killed me. But everything combined?”

Despite the doctor’s orders, Ross refused to take his anti-seizure medication and only prolonged his suffering.

“I went I don’t know how long without taking the medication to prove to myself ‘I’m stronger than these other people this shit was diagnosed for,” he said. “I ended up back in the hospital in a worse condition.”
Ross, however, was never placed on life support and didn’t suffer a heart attack but has since made some adjustments to his lifestyle.
“I cut the sodas out and I drink a lot more water,” he said. “That, adding in some vegetables and I get a lot more rest.”
