Los Angeles, CA

New details in the Megan Thee Stallion and Tory Lanez shooting case emerged this week following a preliminary hearing in Los Angeles. According to Los Angeles Police Department detective Ryan Stonger, the bullet fragments removed from Megan’s feet “cannot be located” and the doctors categorized her injuries as “superficial.”

The incident took place in July 2020 following a party in the Hollywood Hills. Tory Lanez was arrested for possession of a concealed weapon after the black SUV he, Megan and some friends were riding in was stopped by police. Meanwhile, Megan was taken to a local hospital for injuries to her feet. Soon after, Hot Girl Meg pointed the finger at Lanez and he was ultimately charged with felony assault.

Megan Thee Stallion Slams TMZ After Witness Cast Doubt On Tory Lanez Being The Triggerman

But Lanez has maintained his innocence throughout the ordeal. Further testimony from Stonger, who interviewed Megan Thee Stallion after the incident, also testified this week an “intoxicated” Lanez allegedly shouted, “Dance bitch!” before firing his weapon and striking Megan in both feet.

The detective also said an independent witness claimed Megan Thee Stallion and her friend Kelsey got into a verbal argument moments before the gun went off. The witness also claimed the gun’s muzzle flash went off closer to Kelsey than Lanez. Megan Thee Stallion was infuriated by TMZ‘s initial coverage and slammed the outlet on Twitter.

“Don’t blogs/journalists have to have accurate/credible sources before going with a story?” she wrote. “Or is it just like a new I got paid to post this or I heard out from home girl type policy these days.

“Like I’ve been SHOT and the focus of some these headlines are dismissing that I was attacked with a WEAPON WHILE I WAS UNARMED and trying to paint it as a cat fight between friends why do I have to relive this with everyone on the internet every day ? And watch y’all gaslight me.”

Kelsey responded on Twitter with, “I’m not worried about no NDA, this is real life shit. NDA ain’t stopping anyone. Trust me my time to speak is coming, let’s let them get all their stories out. I’m the one with nothing to hide Or lie about. Difference between me and them. Celebrities will do and say whatever to save face.”
