21 Savage and Metro Boomin are a force to be reckoned with whenever they drop music together. Fans have been clamoring for a new project between the Atlanta duo — specifically, the sequel to their 2017 effort with Migos member Offset, Without Warning, which Metro Boomin entirely produced. And it seems like it could be happening.

Earlier this week, 21 Savage took to his Twitter to announce he’s ready to drop another album. The only problem is he’s still needs beats.

“I wanna drop an album so bad I just need the music,” 21 tweeted on Monday (October 18).

Metro Boomin caught wind of the tweet and decided to throw his name in the mix by replying with a gif of a man smiling from ear to ear.

The following day, 21 saw Metro’s response and got the conversation going for a collaboration.

“@MetroBoomin I see you making beats on podcasts can you send me some,” 21 Savage asked, referring to the superstar producer creating a beat on the spot during his visit to the Million Dollaz Worth Of Game podcast.

Metro let 21 know he’s on board by replying, “Let’s run thru a quick 20 then.”

The Twitter exchange had fans buzzing with excitement in the comments section, with many hoping to see a sequel to 21, Metro and Offset’s Without Warning. After all, the album dropped on Halloween four years ago and October 31 is fast approaching.

“Mfs warning us before dropping without warning 2,” one fan wrote in response to Metro’s tweet, while another begged, “WITHOUT WARNING 2 PLEASE.”

Another fan even threw a third installment of 21 Savage and Metro Boomin’s Savage Mode series into the mix, tweeting, “Without warning 2 or savage mode 3 Idc which it is I need it.”

21 Savage, Offset and Metro Boomin dropped Without Warning unexpectedly on October 31, 2017. The album debuted at No. 4 on the Billboard 200 and had six songs chart on the Billboard Hot 100, led by “Ric Flair Drip,” which peaked at No. 13.

While anticipation for a sequel is evidently sky-high, fans shouldn’t get their hopes up too much. “There is no Without Warning 2 and I’m not even sure where these rumors began,” Metro tweeted in 2019. “I appreciate everyone’s love for the first album but everything doesn’t need a sequel!”

One sequel that does appear to be happening, though, is a follow-up to Metro Boomin’s debut solo album, Not All Heroes Wear Capes. Earlier this month, the Boominati beatmaker teased a project titled Heroes 2, with possible guest features from A$AP Rocky, Don Toliver, Brent Faiyaz and James Blake.
