When Young Thug is being addressed, make sure to include that he’s a diamond-selling artist. On Monday (October 4), the RIAA announced that Camila Cabelo and Young Thug’s 2017 “Havana” is now diamond-certified with more than 10 million units sold.

While Young Thug hasn’t commented on his latest feat, the pop star thanked Thugger for collaborating with her on her Camila anthem.

“I am HONORED to earn a @riaa_awards Diamond single award and I hope this paves the way for many more incredible Latinx artists,” Cabello wrote. “Yhank you to my incredible co writers and producers Frank Dukes, Ali Tamposi, Andrew Watt, Pharrell, Lou Bell, Brian Lee, Starrah and Young Thug for being my collaborator on this. and thank you to my amazing fans i love y’all.”

The 24-year-old is reportedly the first Hispanic woman singer ever to go diamond in the United States. Cabello and Thugger’s visual is less than eight million views short of reaching the illustrious billion views club on YouTube.

Young Thug Is Better At Freestyling Than Eminem According To Elton John

The diamond plaque might have been all for none as Young Thug planned on letting “Havana” sit in his e-mail unfinished but he was actually pushed to do the feature and hop on the song by his mother.

“I had this song from Camila in my email and my mom was on me every day like, ‘You not gonna do this song with Camila,'” he said. “I kept listening to this song like, ‘What the fuck is this?’ I didn’t want to switch over that fast like that and wait and take my time. I end up doing the song and it went No. 1, it’s crazy!”

As for Thugger, look for his Punk album to drop on October 15. He debuted a genre-blending track featuring Elton John and Gunna which won’t be appearing on his forthcoming project and he’s also teasing a collaboration with Lil Kim.
