Trend or not, more and more rappers are ditching the lean and prescription pills for a healthier way of life. According to a recent Instagram post, Sada Baby is the latest artist to adopt a “no lean” policy.

The “Whole Lotta Choppas” artist revealed he opted to quit over five months ago but stayed quiet for fear of looking like he was jumping on the bandwagon.

“I ain’t been tellin y’all every month like I started and was doin about how long I’ve been klean wit no lean because right now it seems like a trend and I go wit my mood not trends,” he wrote. “I been quit and I ain’t relapsed.

“Ima turn this 5 months of workin on my attitude and myself as a person and artist into the rest of my life. Binko I got two more habits to kick and god willing it’ll happen and ima delete this post when I wake up im just ventin, never need attention.”

Lil Durk affiliate 600Breezy has quit, too. On Wednesday (September 29), he revealed he’d cut out lean and prescription pills in favor of a new fitness regimen.

“7 months clean,” he wrote in the caption. “No Lean No Pills No hard drugs at all. 6’5 240 pounds, Gym 3-4 times a week . Take care of yourself , don’t shorten your lifespan following trends.”

In June, NLE Choppa issued an anti-lean challenge, encouraging fellow rappers like Moneybagg Yo to put the purple drank down and pick up a cup of chlorophyll with every pint of cough syrup they ingest.

“I Have A New Challenge For Rappers. For Every Pint of Lean, Or Even Alcohol, Drink A Pint Of Chlorophyll,” he wrote at the time. I Wanna Start By Challenging @MoneyBaggYo I’ll Bring This To You Personally Fam Purple heart Order Here: #Chlorophyllchallenge.”

Perhaps Sada Baby caught the message.
