Kanye Omari West is no more. According to TMZ, Kanye has filed legal docs with the Los Angeles legal system looking for approval to change his name to “Ye.” Yes, that means no more Kanye West if the Chicago-bred billionaire has his way.
TMZ got their hands on a portion of the legal docs that find West’s filing to be renamed as just purely “Ye” as far as his government paperwork goes. Although, Kim Kardashian-West and their four kids together still hold Kanye’s last name. The reality star reportedly filed for divorce after nearly seven years of marriage in February.
Who knows if this is coincidental timing to go along with the gaudy Donda rollout. Yeezy is slated to host a fourth Donda listening event on Thursday (August 28), with the latest taking place in his hometown of Chicago at Soldier Field.
Photos and clips of Ye’s vision have surfaced on social media as he looks to rebuild a model resembling his childhood home as a main portion of the stage for Thursday night.
