Coi Leray is having a strong run at the moment, capitalizing on her breakout year in 2020 with multi-platinum singles and award nominations. Despite the early success sheâs seen, not everyone is a fan of the âNo More Partiesâ rapper.Â
Coi Leray has been criticized for her live performances at Rolling Loud Miami and the 2021 BET Awards all over social media. It also doesnât help that people were dragging Leray after her 2021 XXL Freshmen Cypher Freestyle left many scratching their heads. Itâs tough dealing with all the criticisms that rain down from people artists donât know, but Coi Leray has been handling it with grace.Â
On Sunday (August 8), Coi Leray took to Twitter to address all the trolls whoâve aimed at her with insults. According to the 24-year-old rapper, she gets better with each criticism thatâs thrown her way.Â

âThey told me to take my dusty braids out,â Leray tweeted. âNow we all wearing these braids negative vs the positive. They made fun of my freestyle, now itâs stuck in everyone heads singing with a smile like âwe all get money, yeah yeahâ.â

She continued, âThey laughed at my performance just for me to have the best show of my life at the next one. Moral of the story kids. Never stop. Keep being fucking great. You can be anything you wanna be. Just stay focus and keep ya eye on the prize.â

Coi Leray is making it hard for the trolls to get in her head with all the confidence she has in herself and her craft. She displayed that confidence during a brief interview with TMZ where she explained why the Rolling Loud Miami crowd didnât appreciate her set.Â
âI wouldnât be who I am if I wasnât for me,â she said. âI feel like thereâs only one of me and the reason why everything is the way it is is because of me. So it donât matter if theyâre talking bad or good â theyâre talking because of me.â

She continued, âAinât nobody else doing shit. Ainât nobody really doing nothing thatâs making people wanna go ahead and gravitate toward that. Everything thatâs done is repetitive. They seen it already. So when you got somebody bringing something new to the table, they donât like that. So itâs just going to take some time for people to get used to. I ainât trippinâ.âÂ
Coi Leray will have way more to brag about when she takes the road with Lil Durk and Lil Baby for The Back Outside Tour. Rylo Rodriguez and Bankroll Freddie will join Leray as they assist Durk and Baby on tour.
