Coi Leray’s Rolling Loud Miami experience saw a less than appreciative crowd, but the “No More Parties” rapper isn’t sweating it.
On Saturday (July 31), Leray was stopped by TMZ outside The Ivy Hotel in Los Angeles where she claimed it was her newbie status in the industry that makes crowds indifferent toward her.
“I wouldn’t be who I am if I wasn’t for me,” she said. “I feel like there’s only one of me and the reason why everything is the way it is is because of me. So it don’t matter if they’re talking bad or good — they’re talking because of me.”
She continued, “Ain’t nobody else doing shit. Ain’t nobody really doing nothing that’s making people wanna go ahead and gravitate toward that. Everything that’s done is repetitive. They seen it already. So when you got somebody bringing something new to the table, they don’t like that. So it’s just going to take some time for people to get used to. I ain’t trippin’.”

The response to Leray’s July 24 performance mirrored a recent one in Houston where the crowd hardly reacted to any of her songs or movements. Artists such as Nicki Minajoffered support for Leray, telling her to “charge it to the game.”
Rolling Loud aside, Coi Leray has rocketed to success in 2021 with her “No More Parties” single as well as “Big Purr (Prrdd)” with Pooh Shiesty.
Last month, she boldly announced she has a $50,000 price tag for a feature and touted her newfound wealth not long after her festival performance.
