The “Old Town Road” and “Montero (Call Me by Your Name)” hitmaker took to Twitter to announce plans for him and Harlow to perform the song completely nude at the MTV Video Music Awards, which is taking place September 12 at the Barclays Center. However, Memphis rapper BlocBoy JB isn’t down with it; so much, he doesn’t want his children to listen to rap music anymore.

“me and jack harlow have decided to perform industry baby butt naked at the vmas for charity,” Lil Nas X tweeted.

BlocBoy JB wrote in the comments of Akademiks’ repost, “My kids are can’t listen to rap nomoe.”

Following the release of “Industry Baby,” Jack Harlow admitted he would have appeared in the shower scene had Lil Nas X asked.

“Nas wrote the whole treatment for this video and I followed his lead every step of the way,” he wrote on Twitter. “If he had asked me to be in that shower scene I woulda been in that shower scene. I just let the mastermind cook. Honored to be apart of it.”

Lil Nas X then responded, “wait!!! i didn’t know! let’s shoot it again! please jack harlow!!! please. to the lgbtq+ community i sincerely apologize. i have failed you. i am embarrassed. i am ashamed. and i will learn from my mistakes.”

When film producer and social media commentator Tariq Nasheed criticized Lil Nas X for the concept of the video, Lil Nas X said, “lemme explain. lil nas = gay so he wit boy. jack harlow = straight so he wit girl. got it??”

Christian Breslauer directed the video for “Industry Baby,” having previously created visuals such as Roddy Ricch’s “The Box,” Doja Cat’s “Streets,” The Weeknd’s “Better Believe” and Lil Baby’s “Errbody.” The song itself was produced by Kanye West and Take a Daytrip.
