As the country slowly opens back up after a little over a year of quarantining from the COVID-19 pandemic, so are large public gatherings. To celebrate his birthday on Friday (April 30), Travis Scott had a huge announcement for his Astroworld Festival.
The 29-year-old will be bringing Astroworld back for a special two-day celebration at NRG Park in Scott’s native Houston, Texas. Due to overwhelming demand and hype surrounding the lineup, Scott and his team expanded the festival to two days for the third annual event. Astroworld will officially return on Friday, November 5 and Saturday, November 6.

La Flame will be incorporating a new theme to his festival this year with the tagline “Open Your Eyes To A Whole New Universe.” He is also confirmed as the headlining performer at Astroworld, a possible sign that his next studio album Utopia may be coming sooner than fans may think.

In November 2019, Astroworld became the largest single-day artist-curated music festival in the country, as well as the largest music festival in Scott’s hometown of Houston. The Covid-19 pandemic slowed down Scott’s momentum for the 2020 edition of the festival, but the “SICKO MODE” rapper aims to pick things back up come November.
Tickets go on sale Wednesday, May 5 at 10:00 a.m. CT at AstroworldFest.com. Fans are encouraged to purchase their tickets now and not wait as the last two Astroworld events have sold out in advance prior to a music lineup being revealed.
The Astroworld announcement isn’t the only big news Scott had for his fans. Travis Scott also unleashed his latest collaboration with Jordan Brand, the Air Jordan 6 “British Khaki” colorway.
As expected the pair were a hard get and sold out within minutes on Nike’s SNKRS app. Anyone looking for the sneakers can head to StockX and cough up the $500 plus resale price for them.
