Drake is untouchable.
In just two weeks since the release of his three-pack of songs dubbed Scary Hours 2, the Lil Baby-assisted “Wants & Needs” is already set to be certified gold by the Recording Industry Association of America with over 500,000 units sold. Considering all three songs debuted in the top three slots on the Billboard Hot 100 in their first week, the news doesn’t come entirely as a surprise – and likely means the other two songs aren’t far from certification either.

While the Cardo, Dez Wright and 40-produced “Wants & Needs” arrived at No. 2 on the Hot 100 chart dated March 15, the Supah Mario-produced “What’s Next” made for Drizzy’s eighth No. 1 song while the Rick Ross-assisted “Lemon Pepper Freestyle” came in at No. 3. The EP serves as an appetizer for the forthcoming Certified Lover Boy, and seems to hint at just how big the album will be…whenever it finally arrives.

According to Akademiks, the follow-up to 2018’s Scorpion will arrive no later than April – though it hasn’t been confirmed by The Boy himself.

“Drake told me that it’s gonna be dropping before April,” Ak said on a Twitch session earlier this month. “So he’s not waiting until summer to drop his shit … April, or before.”

The effort was originally supposed to arrive in January, but Drizzy opted to push it back as he recovered from knee surgery.
“I was planning to release my album this month but between surgery and rehab, my energy has been dedicated to recovery,” he wrote on Instagram at the time. “I’m blessed to be back on my feet, feeling great and focused on the album, but CLB won’t be dropping in January.”
