Jim Jones and 50 Cent have a long, contentious past, which was enflamed again when 6ix9ine identifed the Dipset rapper as a Nine Trey Gangsta Blood gang member during his October 2018 testimony.

The (sometimes) rapper-turned-television mogul took his thoughts to Twitter at the time and wrote, “Jimmy finna do the race, they got his name all in that shit.” He also found it hilarious 6ix9ine referred to Jones as a “retired rapper” and continuously accuses him of being a snitch.

Needless to say, there’s some healing that needs to be done before they could ever be in the same room together. On Thursday (January 21), DatPiff presented an Instagram post asking who would win a potential Verzuz between G-Unit and Dipset. Jones quickly hopped in the comment section and wote, “[Five] cam records 5 juelz records 5 Jim records 5 Dipset records. We want all [the] smoke wit who ever.”

Speaking with The Joe Budden Podcast last month, Jones predicted what a Dipset appearance with G-Unit would look like, explaining, “If there were a chance for the G-Unit thing would happen, it wouldn’t exactly count it out. I’d say it would probably be even more aggressive than even the Jeezy-Guwop Verzuz. I wanna wrestle and fight and shit.”

Sadly for G-Unit and Dipset fans, there are several obstacles standing in the way of that ever happening, including the fact 50 said he wants to forget G-Unit ever existed just last September and Fiddy’s ongoing beef with former crew member Young Buck.

But stranger things have happened. Jeezy and Gucci Mane were able to dead a nearly two-decade feud during their Verzuz face-off last November. As they played their biggest hits, LaFlare continually criticized The Snowman for playing nothing but “old shit.” He then started playing “The Truth,” the same Jeezy diss track he uploaded to streaming services just hours before the event. That was where Jeezy evidently had enough and decided to call Gucci out for playing the disrespectful record.

“See when I called you and extended this invite, my n-gga, I did it as a real man,” he said. “It’s been 20 muthafuckin’ years… you still talking the same shit. The shit we came from in the street, we been through it, dawg. Twenty years and when I said I wanted to do this for the culture, that’s what I wanted to do.

“I brought you here to show you the world care about what the fuck we got going on because we are the culture. Me and you, where we came from, what we been through, n-gga, us.”

Gucci ultimately extended an olive branch to his former rival and history was made in front of  over 9.1 million people. Perhaps Jones is simply looking to do the same.
