Lil Durk Proclaims Himself Top 3 In Hip Hop & Ups Show Price To 6-Figures

Lil Durk put forth a banner 2020 and took his artistry to another level in the process by banking his first Grammy nomination, releasing two projects and numerous standout features. With just one day of sales last week, Durk’s surprise The Voice album debuted at No. 47 on the Billboard 200 and should earn a loftier position with a full week of sales coming up.

If a venue is planning on booking the Chicago native for a show in 2021, the price definitely went up since the start of this year and Durk is expecting a hefty six-figure check every show while proclaiming his top-three status.

“I need 200k a show now smurk top 3 out here,” he confidently stated on Twitter.

With all of the victories, Durk suffered the terrible loss of his OTF affiliate King Von, who was killed outside an Atlanta hookah lounge on November 6. The Voice serves as Durk’s project of the year behind Just Cause Y’all Waited 2.

According to Akademiks, Durk sold 23,000 album-equivalent units in one day, which accounts for his first week total since he dropped on a Thursday, but 6ix9ine didn’t seem to grasp that when dissing Durk’s sales.

“Nuski and Von died for this???? @lil durk,” 6ix9ine commented on the post with a series of laughing emojis.

Akademiks further mentioned The Voice is expected to command about 55,000 album-equivalent units in its first full week on the charts, which would beat out 6ix9ine’s Tattletales debut by a narrow margin from earlier this year. The polarizing Brooklyn rapper’s comeback album disappointed in sales with 54,000 album-equivalent units and a No. 4 debut on the Billboard 200.

Lil Durk Validates His Album Sales After 6ix9ine's King Von Diss

“Trenches behind me, that’s all I need. I did 23k in 1 day not the first week cap,” Durk responded with an Instagram Story on Tuesday (December 29).

    1. But dude, you suck ass. Why would anyone pay 200,000 for you when they can honestly pick any other young, hungry and ACTUALLY TALENTED artist.

      1. This what happens when the hip hop old heads don’t come out and say their all trash instead they vouch for these bums

    2. Back in the day, rappers did most of their talking on was. These days, they do mediocre rapping but run to social media every now and then to post absolute nonsense!

      1. One Ton Fatty Nikki lol that was just his food stamp princess/ baby momma til he came up. Hope he knows that when then money goes, that’s what he’s going back to having cuz ain’t no normal chick gon want to be with him.

    3. I was about to lose my mind when he said he’s too 3 in hip hop, but I forgot we in a new era now..no more jay z, Eminem, nas, 50, Dmx, nelly..man I miss the early 2000’s

    4. Yea he top 3 in Iraq lol. Some of these new rappers are a bunch of clowns. They like the wnba.. They all seem to think they got skills.

    5. 200,000 peso per appearance about right if talking usd dirk gone mad. Top 3 where maybe chicago after that nah.

    6. He has created leverage for himself over the years and that’s a good thing. I don’t listen to his
music but I do like to see these young guys grow branch out and get paid. I don’t think he
will be getting 200k a show, especially during these times of a pandemic. Artist will be lucky to start regularly start booking shows in the spring or summer and that’s being optimistic. But for him to put that number out there is smart it’s a negotiating, marketing, business strategy. Do your thing Durk, just because you don’t like or listening to someones music don’t mean you can’t root for them.
