King Von has posthumously earned his first Top 5 album on the Billboard 200 of his career in the first week of tracking since his death earlier this month. According to Billboard, Welcome To O’Block, Von’s EMPIRE debut, sold roughly 44,000 total album equivalent units in its second week on the chart to land at No. 5.
The project originally debuted at No. 13 with over 26,000 total album equivalent units sold on last week’s Billboard 200 and then received a posthumous 18,000-unit bump.
In addition to Welcome To O’ Block, Chart Data reports Von has two other albums on this week’s Billboard 200 with LeVon James clocking in at No. 39 and Grandson, Vol. 1 re-entering at No. 52.
Von was one of three men shot and killed during an altercation outside Monaco Hookah Lounge in Atlanta on November 6. Law enforcement acted quickly and charged 22-year-old Timothy Leeks with Von’s murder while he sought treatment for injuries of his own at Grady Hospital.
Even though Quando Rondo’s crew was rumored to be involved, police say the rapper’s name has been cleared in the investigation and the case is closed.
During a recent appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, 21 Savage and Metro Boomin’ honored the fallen Chicago rhymer prior to their performance.
“Long live King Von,” 21 said. “The world lost a legend.”

Yo, wasn’t this cat talkin bout Tekashi album numbers yet 6ix9ine outsold him!? LMAO! To top it off, he ain’t got no number 1 record or a single record broken. The press got to ask Durk what he got to say now. That’s two L’s for him in the space of one month. Something says, he might have more on the way.
Clown Ass make a mfer open yo shit up bitch
Nah, the only openin that happen with me is the one yo baby momma already done did for a brother so I’m straight. If you really bout that action you could ask yo mans Durk to pop it for you with his Ramen noodle head since you into it so much! LoL!
“You know dead rappers get better promotion”
SMH. IT IS WHAT IT IS. GLAD HIS FAMILY CAN AT LEAST EAT OFF OF HIS POSTHUMOUS SUCCESS.
It’s not rocket science. It’s because it’s authentic to the core. He really lived it hence the situation that occurred. 50 cent first album did so well cause he was shot 9 times if he passed away that thing would probably do diamond in a month God Forbid but we need more positivity in rap music..
Rip bizzy manager
Quando Rondo should not be cleared. He was apart of the set up. How dare they do this to another rapper.
