21 Savage and Metro Boomin have brought back the old Pen & Pixel Graphics cover art for Savage Mode 2. After announcing the album with the help of Morgan Freeman, the two unveiled the LP’s artwork, which mimics the style used by Cash Money and No Limit Records during their heydays in the late ’90s and early 2000s.

“Boominati Slaughter Gang taking over for the 2020 and the 21,” Metro wrote on Twitter, evoking Juvenile’s famous line “Cash Money Records taking over the 99 and the 2000” from his hit single “Back That Azz Up.”

Savage Mode 2 is scheduled to drop on Friday (October 2). The highly anticipated album is a sequel to 21 and Metro’s acclaimed Savage Mode project, which dropped in 2016.
