Kanye West held his first presidential campaign rally at the Exquis Event Center in North Charleston, South Carolina on Sunday (July 19) — and it didn’t exactly go well. The hour-long event was filled with often incoherent ramblings, tears and a controversial comment about the famous abolitionist Harriet Tubman.

50 Cent, who’s never one to keep his comments to himself, evidently found this hilarious and shared a clip of Ye spouting, “Harriet Tubman never actually freed the slaves, she just had the slaves to work for other White people.”

The successful television mogul blamed JAY-Z for basically creating this version of Ye in the caption, writing, “what the fuck did he just say. This is all Jay z fault , kanye’s first Rally. LOL.”

Kanye and JAY-Z’s relationship stretches back decades, but the two Hip Hop moguls haven’t been on good terms in recent years. Despite their strained friendship, Ye still wants Hov to be his running mate and doesn’t seem to think their 2017 fallout would be a roadblock.

JAY-Z Reveals Reason Behind Rift With Kanye West

During the rally in South Carolina, Ye told a local blogger Jay needed to be his vice-president — instead of Wyoming preacher Michelle Tidball who’s Kanye’s current running mate.

“We have Michelle Tidball who is a Christian pastor out of Wyoming who is my running mate,” he said. “But she would be open to taking another position if we found another running mate … You know who should be my running mate? Shawn Carter. The fact we haven’t talked so long that’s how you know we’re real brothers.”
