It turns out Akademiks was indeed trolling all along. After claiming he was relieved of his duties at Complex and banned from Twitch for life, the often brash media personality has announced his return to the platform is imminent.
On Tuesday (July 14), Akademiks fired off a tweet that not only outlined his plan of attack but also called out Freddie Gibbs, Meek Mill, Guapdad 4000 and celebrity jeweler Ben Baller who had all been involved in some sort of social media war with him over the past few weeks.
“Bad News and FAKE news spread faster than the truth,” he wrote. “Tomorrow.. I’m Back on Everyday Struggle…Thursday…. I’m Returning to Twitch….. 8 PM. @FreddieGibbs @meekmill @guapdad4000 @benballer and the rest of u Hating ass Niggas teaming up to get me.. TRY AGAIN NEXT TIME.”
While it isn’t exactly a surprise, the move could be perceived as a bold one on Complex’s part considering his off-color remarks about John Legend’s wife Chrissy Teigen. During one of his Twitch rants, he referred to Teigen as a “bitch” numerous times.

“It’s bewildering to me,” he said in part. “His bitch be talking mad shit online. What’s… I dislike this bitch so much, I can’t even lie to you. One time she sneak-dissed me so fuck that hoe. Straight up and John Legend could hear that. Don’t have your bitch dissing me because I don’t give two fucks about none of y’all niggas.”
He then offered a half-baked apology and admitted Complex had temporarily suspended him. Akademiks hasn’t made any friends lately though. Most recently, he and Guapdad had a heated exchange on Twitter with the Oakland-bred rapper ultimately telling Ak to “kill” himself.
Everyday Struggle resumes with its regular lineup on Wednesday (July 15).
