Instagram has proven to be a saving grace during the coronavirus pandemic. Artists and fans have flocked to the social media platform to stay connected while locked down at home.
On Sunday (April 12), Drake and Diddy hopped on Instagram Live where the Bad Boy Records founder named the Toronto-bred superstar among his Top 5 rappers.
“Two years ago, three years ago, I didn’t know,” Diddy admits in the clip. “It’s clear the work you put in, you’re in my official Top 5. For real. That’s right. Y’all heard it. Hits, hits, hits, hits, hits, hits.”
Drake, clearly flattered by the sentiment, replies, “Thank you. That means the world to me. There’s very few opinions that hold as much weight as yours. Obviously, you want to talk about studies, we studied you since Howard [University] days. I studied the stories from those Howard days and just how relentless you were.”

Diddy was on Instagram Live hosting a nine-hour event he dubbed the “Team Love Dance-A-Thon.” It was designed to raise money for healthcare workers through Direct Relief amid COVID-19.
In addition to Drake, LeBron James, his former flame Jennifer Lopez, Lizzo, Snoop Dogg and DJ Khaled, among others, also joined in. In total, Diddy raised over $3.7 million and secured another $1 million donation from CÎROC.
The veteran Hip Hop mogul is one of many celebrities who are stepping up to the plate to combat the coronavirus crisis. Late last month, Rihanna and JAY-Z’s foundations raised over $2 million for COVID-19 relief. RiRi’s Clara Lionel Foundation also donated another $5 million earlier that month.
