Donald Glover Launches Mysterious Countdown

Actor/musician Donald Glover, formerly known as Childish Gambino, teased his fans last weekend when he temporarily released 12 new tracks on his website. Less than 24 hours later, the album disappeared.

Now, a mysterious countdown has begun on the “Donald Glover Presents” page.

While no further details are provided, it doesn’t take a rocket scientist to figure out something special is on the way. Those who were able to listen to the surprise release, heard contributions from SZA, Ariana Grande and 21 Savage.

Glover’s last album under the Childish Gambino moniker was 2016’s Awaken My Love! In 2018, Glover declared he was retiring the name during a Grammys press conference, saying, “I’m really appreciative of this. I’m making another project right now, but I like endings, I think they’re important to progress.”

It’s likely the countdown will end with that final project, but we’ll just have to wait and see. Find the countdown here.

    1. He had an extremely limited fanbase when he started making music and it’s the same now. Nobody listens to this dude anymore except nerdy black kids and soft ass beta male blacks that act gangsta in public but cry to gambinos music in secret.

      1. To me, he is that super cheesy fake woke style. I can’t get down with that, but hey, to each their own. If you enjoy it, that’s good for you.

    2. This dude’s career is only relevant because of the Atlanta tv show. Yes, he is talented. And yes, he make some good music sometimes. But stop putting him on a pedestal like he’s a living legend because he’s not. There is not a before and after Childish Gambino like there was a before and after Dr. Dre, Pharrell or Kanye just to name a few.

    3. His rap name has been, is, and always is Childish Gambino. Get your shit together. You clearly have no right to speak on the subject.

    4. Whoaa calm the hate… DG been for the real fans since day 1 so that may explain why you find it hard to relate. This man talks about real shit but you gotta take more than 3 listens to understand. Also, not afraid to try new things. He’s a vibe and a black unicorn for sure. Love yourself has always been the vibe. Get wit it! Take another listen on Google Play Music. It’s on there. Time and Vibrate are hits!

    5. what i hate most about this bitch, like chance the rapper, is they act like they came from nothing when they rap.. act like they came from no where and made it… NOOO, Chance and Donald come from rich ass families and admit it. They had mommy and daddy spent buku bucks on their debuts. I know for a fact Chance spent $80K having “Acid Rap” produced and co featured while saying he hustled the dough selling weed. Fake ass uncle tom niggas. Donald used his TV cred to blow up.

Raps for strugglers, not the 1% and mediocre trash like they both are. Oh yeah and Donald plagerized bootsy collins on Redbone.

Lame bitch ass fake industry plants. Hope they both die.
