After eight months of social media silence, Soulja Boy has finally resurfaced.

On Saturday (February 22), the “Crank That” mastermind shared a picture of himself rocking braids, a colorful hoodie and luxury watch in front of an orange Bentley.

The caption reads, “Drako back, let’s turn up.”

Big Draco went on a self-imposed social media break after a three-month stint in L.A. County Jail last year. After earning an early release, Soulja felt it necessary to make several life changes, including kicking out several friends living in his San Fernando Valley home.

In a recent interview with HipHopDX, Soulja Boy’s manager Miami Mike discussed how the break coincided with the rapper’s maturation as an individual, ahead of what’s set to be a major year.

“More people want to deal with him now because he’s not wilding out,” he said. “He’s on the grown man stuff. So, he wants to venture more into movies and stuff like that. But, I have a couple people that have a deal on the table to get him a deal. So, that’s why he’s not really on social media, he’s on a social media break and a life break. But, it’s about to come out now.

“He hasn’t had a break since he was 12 or 13. And he just turned … his birthday just came … and he hasn’t had a break in over 15 years. So that’s why I wasn’t sweating him. He’s been turning down shows these past couple months, and I said I’m going to let him take his break because he really needed it. People want to know why he isn’t on Instagram? Well, I say because he’s on a break. He needed it.

Soulja Boy is also expected to appear on The Breakfast Club again. Revisit last year’s internet-breaking interview below.
