Nicki Minaj shocked her fans on Monday (October 21) when she revealed she’d officially married fiancé Kenneth “Zoo” Petty.

TMZ reports the platinum-selling rapper has a much bigger vision for phase two of her nuptials. Nicki and Petty are in no rush to host an extravagant wedding, but the source claims their second ceremony is going to be big, with talks of a church ceremony followed by an extravagant reception.

Nicki, who has been referring to herself as Mrs. Petty on Twitter since August, has been relatively quiet about their relationship since they started dating.

Nicki and Petty filed for a marriage license in June. The license, which is only good for 90 days, was set to expire at the end of this month.

The couple has only been dating for eight months but have known each other for nearly 20 years, according to Nicki’s verse on Chance The Rapper’s song  “Zanies and Fools” from his album The Big Day. She references Petty in her verse, spitting ”I met my husband when I was 17 out in Queens/If you love it, let it go, now I know what that means.”

Although Nicki is known for her over-the-top personality, she chose to keep her marriage on the down-low.

“Nicki wanted to keep her wedding low-key,” a source told People Magazine “She’s become much more private over the last year, but she is very happy.”
