In the “Come As Your Are RSVP” commercial, Gucci can be spotted preparing for a glitzy party as he takes a phone call in the middle of his Swedish massage. From there, the pearly whites are brandished as he hobnobs with actress Sienna Miller and punk rock messiah Iggy Pop.
News of Gucci Mane’s partnership with his namesake arrives in a year when dozens of rappers partook in a loosely organized Gucci boycott — spearheaded by T.I. — after the luxury brand rolled out a sweater that resembled African American blackface.
In May 2019, Snoop Dogg inquired about the purported ban and the legendary Dapper Dan actually sat down with Gucci and now, Radric Davis is getting paid to rep the Italian fabrics.
