New York, NY – Papoose and Remy Ma were visibly elated as they celebrated Remy’s newfound freedom. The Terror Squad vet had been on parole for the past five years after serving six years behind bars for her involvement in a 2007 shooting.
But, that was all forgotten as the Mackies sang along to Frankie Beverly and Maze’s “Before I Let Go” on Friday night (August 2).
“And they lived happily ever after!!!!” Papoose captioned the clip. “#blacklove Off papers. The #queen.”
In another Instagram photo celebrating the occasion, Papoose — wearing a Black Love hat — built a shield around Remy with Fat Joe, “Uncle Dan” (Fat Joe’s booking manager) and Rich Player (Fat Joe’s manager), vowing to keep her protected.
“All The People They Going To Have To Go Through Before They Ever Get To Her Again,” he captioned the photo. “Free At Last, Free At Last, Thank You Father She’s Free At Last #FamilyTies #TerrorSquad #RemyMafia #WeAllWeGot #RemyOffParole.”

Remy’s parole term officially came to an end on Thursday (August 1).
Her freedom was momentarily in jeopardy in May when she was arrested for an alleged assault on fellow Love & Hip Hop: New York co-star Brittney Taylor. She was subsequently charged with four misdemeanors and ultimately rejected a plea deal. Her trial was set for last month.
