XXXTENTACION murder suspect Michael Boatwright is reportedly planning to take depositions from the late rapper’s mother, Cleopatra Bernard, and the mother of his child, Jenesis Sanchez, in an effort to build his case before trial.
According to The Blast, the depositions are scheduled for September 10 and will take roughly an hour each. Boatwright also wants to depose — or question — Scott Barbieux, the man who filmed X in his vehicle moments after he was shot and actively dying.

The 22-year-old suspect accused prosecutors of not relinquishing all of the evidence in the case and insists his defense is being impeded. Boatwright explained authorities initially turned in 20 CDs containing several documents and items of evidence, but his lawyer reviewed the police reports that indicate officers actually collected more than originally led to believe.

The motion to compel asks prosecutors to release all photographs they have for evidence, including body cam videos.
X was fatally shot outside of RIVA Motorsports in Deerfield Beach, Florida on June 18, 2018. Shortly after, four suspects were arrested— Boatwright, Robert Allen, Trayvon Newsome and Dedrick D. Williams.
Shortly before his death, X shared a eerily prophetic video to his Instagram Live. The controversial, platinum-selling rapper was 20 years old.
