Remy Ma was forced to turn herself in to authorities earlier this week for allegedly assaulting Love & Hip Hop: New York personality Brittney Taylor at the Pretty Lou Benefit Concert in NYC last month. As a result, she was charged with third-degree assault.
On Thursday (May 2), her longtime collaborator and fellow New York Hip Hop vet Fat Joe defended the “shETHER” mastermind on Instagram with a photo of himself holding Papoose and Remy’s newborn baby. He explained Taylor’s actions are nothing more at an attempt at clout chasing.
“Family First PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE beware of the CLOUT CHASE is this Country truly ready for rehabilitation, are we truly FORGIVING,” he wrote in the caption. “Do we really believe in SECOND CHANCES here we have a woman who did her time came home and has been a Model Citizen the only time she’s out her house is to work or in this case Donating her time with a FREE performance for CANCER RESEARCH.

As Joe continued, he insisted the alleged altercation is completely fabricated. In fact, he explained there were even police officers at the event and none of them witnessed any type of assault.

Taylor’s attorney, Sanford Rubenstein, have been preparing to file a civil suit against Remy.
