Styles P has released a new LP titled S.P. The GOAT: Ghost of All Time. The project is the veteran MC’s follow-up to 2018’s Dime Bag, which dropped last November.
The LOX member’s latest solo offering is comprised of 12 tracks. Guests include Jadakiss, Sheek Louch, M.O.P.’s Lil Fame and Nino Man, among others.

Ghost of All Time? That’s super wack. He’s never made a good album on his own. He’s ok with The Lox but his limitations get exposed as a soloist. He has no versatility and his rhymes are predictable. I respect his longevity though. Peace.
Wrong. Styles P’s debut album ‘Gangster And A Gentleman’ is viewed by many (and myself) as a certified classic AND the best solo offering from a Lox member. And why talk down on the man instead of simply praising him for going strong after all these years in the game?
I don’t know if i’d go that far. It wasn’t a classic. It was alright. I think that his second album was much better, and more cohesive. As far as the best solo album from a LOX member, again, that’s not even close to true. Kiss of death & Kiss the game goodbye by Jadakiss were both better, and Sheek’s album After Taxes was also better. I don’t think Styles is all that good anymore. I used to when I was in High School, but he is kind of predictable.
Because blind praise for mediocre albums is what has made these rappers complacent and lazy. Look, I’d love to praise everyone, especially the guys from my era, but then praise wouldnt mean anything. Gangsta and a Gentleman was NOT a classic, and I’m glad you think so, but to me it was terrible, and I WANTED to like it. I don’t think any of The Lox have ever dropped a great solo album, and I consider Jadakiss a great MC, but even his albums are missing something. They sound robotic on their own. Their styles are more complimentary, because none of them have enough substance or versatility on their own to carry a full length album. Together, they’re great, because you’re hearing just enough or all of them, instead of being spread thin across a whole album and having to use their second and third-string lyrics. Not everybody has to be a lyrical wizard, but if you’re not gonna be then you have to make sure you’re creative. Styles is just not creative, or particularly artistic. He’s monotone, hardest guy out-we get it…your knife, your gun, blah blah. It’s been the same for 20+ years. Just being honest, not hatin on the man. Peace.

The title is the worse. I love Styles P and the lox. But he rushing music. Five albums in two years and all just OK. Should have picked the best 10 for two albums. He’s too predictable at this point. He’s a 50 year old family man (which is dope). I love it …But his music don’t talk about grown shit… just teenage knuckle head shit. It’s a contradiction and looks like he’s chasing the bag, verses chasing something that represents a 44-45 year old man that’s married (beautiful wife) and owns a juice bar. The OG”s can’t be afraid to be an OG- god put you there to do it… The last grown up album for real was Nas’s Life is good and Hov’s 4:44. Common did good with the dreamer/believer and Tribe’s last album was grown man- the other’s need help- theses kids ain’t believing in the OG’s causes they contradict themselves … Like Salt n Pepa .. and Pepa becoming white as Donald TRUMP… now the group should be called Salt and Suga. WE GOTTA DO BETTER

Absolutely and utterly not. Styles was fantastic back in the day, but he’s run his course. The fact you don’t acknowledge Freddie Gibbs on that list, when he’s far surpassed Styles P on current form shows how little you know, which goes with the rest of your list of pop chart rap acts.

Please let’s stop trying to fit in Kendrick Lamar, J Cole and Drake on everything. Those guys are pop stars who are marketed as hip-hop artists by the media. They’re not even close to hip-hop’s greats.
I agree with pusha T, styles and Royce being the 3 best in the game. Not so much kendrick and Cole at 4 and 5.
