Kendrick Lamar Holds Moment Of Silence For Nipsey Hussle During Lollapalooza Argentina

Kendrick Lamar has joined the laundry list of people mourning the loss of Nipsey Hussle. The fellow Los Angeles native held a moment of silence for the slain rapper and community activist during his set at Lollapalooza Argentina 2019 over the weekend.

“Keep your lights up, y’all,” he says. “I need a favor. Before we got on this stage, we got wind that our brother, our warrior, our soldier, Nipsey Hussle passed away, so we want to take this time to truly give a moment of silence, can we do that?”

He adds, “Repeat after me. We love you Nipsey!”

Nip was gunned down on Sunday (March 31) in front of his Los Angeles clothing store, Marathon Clothing. He was reportedly shot at least six times before he was rushed to a local hospital where he later died.

Two other men were also shot and are currently in stable condition. So far, police haven’t arrested any suspects. The investigation is ongoing.

    J. Cole, Diddy, The Game, Ice Cube, Snoop Dogg, Nas and Drake are just a fraction of the people paying tribute to the late Nip on social media. He was 33.

    1. In case you were wondering this is what the rest of the world thinks of us: a bunch of ghetto ass idiots killing each other in run-down hoods Don’t be proud. This dude shouldn’t be made a martyr. The glorification of gang violence is why this type of lifestyle will never end.

      1. Nipsey doesn’t deserve a moment of silence. Let him be forgotten. He made his bed, now he lays in a coffin.
