Tyler The Creator is attempting to quell fan expectations for a collaborative project with A$AP Rocky. Tyler tried to put a stop to the speculation on Tuesday (January 22), reacting to recent comments made by Rocky in an interview with Angie Martinez.

“i wish rocky would shut the fuck up and stop always saying what he’s working on 40 years before its even a fleshed out idea,” he wrote on Twitter. “with that said, again, dont get your hopes up and be ‘disappointed’ because something that doesnt really exist didnt come out. that shit dont exist yall =).”

Last week, Rocky appeared on Martinez’s radio show to promote Yams Day 2019 and was asked about what’s next in his career. The A$AP Mob member said he was creating a new project and mentioned he was working with Tyler.

Although the Odd Future co-founder was frustrated by his friend’s loose lips, the two clearly have a tight bond. In the conversation with Martinez, Rocky effusively sang Tyler’s praises and encouraged the veteran radio host to interview the Grammy-nominated rapper/producer.

Rocky’s radio appearance wasn’t the first time he’s annoyed Tyler by teasing a collaborative project. Last year, a video for their “Potato Salad” freestyle featured a message saying “WANG$AP Coming Soon.” Tyler didn’t approve of this teaser and let fans know via social media.
