Tekashi 6ix9ine has been in federal custody since last month after he was arrested on racketeering and weapons charges. Despite being denied bail multiple times, attorney Lance Lazarro is reportedly putting together a bail package in hopes of swaying the judge to have a change of heart.
According to TMZ, Lazarro plans to offer the judge $1.5 million in bail so 6ix9ine can revel in a little freedom before his September 2019 trial begins. Lazarro insists he’s not a flight risk and is going to try to convince the judge 6ix9ine will behave upon his release.

Lazarro is expected to file the motion before 6ix9ine’s next hearing in late January. If granted, the polarizing rapper would be able to await trial from his home.
6ix9ine is facing a slew of felonious charges stemming from his alleged involvement with the Nine Trey Gangsta Bloods gang. Prosecutors believe they have complied plenty of compelling evidence linking the 22-year-old artist to at least three armed robberies and shootings.

Earlier this month, prosecutors released over a dozen photos showing 6ix9ine at or near the various scenes. However, Lazarro says his client isn’t interested in taking any plea deals and maintains 6ix9ine’s innocence.
Feds are currently looking at 6ix9ine’s possible role in a shooting involving Chief Keef. As stated on the U.S. Department of Justice website, other charges include racketeering conspiracy and violent crime in aid of racketeering. If convicted, 6ix9ine could spend up to life in prison.
