50 Cent ignited a social media firestorm on Friday (November 30) after insinuating he wouldn’t mind if eldest son Marquis Jackson got hit and killed by a bus. Now, he’s responded to the backlash in true 50 fashion — with an Instagram post.

The Power exec offered an explanation for his off-color comment while shamelessly plugging Power‘s 6th season.

“Season6 on the way,” he wrote in the caption. “I have zero ill will towards anyone living on this Earth. The people Shaniquas son looks up to and associates with is a reflection of the negative energy he embraces towards me.

“I paid his mother $1,360,000 in support to afford him opportunities I never had. They just spent it, over the years I repeated get a job now they have to figure it out. Oh and Power season 6 is fire. I directed episode 603.”

Jackson’s mother, Shaniqua Tompkins, also had something to say about 50’s comment. In a since-deleted Instagram post, she made it clear she wasn’t happy about 50’s vitriol toward her child.

“A nigga with money don’t mean shit,” she wrote. “Ronald McDonald rich as fuck.but still a clown.”

Following Jackson’s birth in 1996, 50 and Tompkins entered a nasty legal battle. Tompkins attempted to sue 50 for $50 million but a judge dismissed the case, calling their situation “an unfortunate tale of a love relationship gone sour.” Since then, they often bicker back-and-forth on social media.

50 has another son named Sire with model Daphne Joy. [apple_news_ad type=”any”]
