Twitter is buzzing after Erykah Badu posted a cryptic video to her Instagram account on Tuesday (November 13).
In the clip, music featuring Digable Planets MC Butterfly — also known as Ishmael “Ish” Butler of Shabazz Palaces — is playing in the background as Badu rubs her bare belly and the words “She Loves You Ish” flash across the screen.
“Ishhues wit trust,” Badu wrote in the caption.
Shabazz Palaces posted an Instagram photo of Badu in August but other than that, there’s been no indication she and Ish are romantically linked.

Sure enough, Ish told HipHopDX the rumor is absolutely “not true.”

Badu addressed the rumor on Twitter in a more comedic way and blamed it on her voracious Fall appetite.
“Fam, chill,” she began. “Ain’t nobody shoot up the club, ok? Why I got to be pregnant every holiday season. Just. Stop. Y’all trying to say I’m fat? Y’all say this shit every fall. I just be a little hungier than usual come late October…Now y’all got us in here arguing over baby names.”

Most recently, Badu has been tied to Jay Electronica. The two have a child together. Badu also has a son with André 3000 and a daughter with The D.O.C.
