Atlanta, GA

Hip Hop might not be part of the Super Bowl LIII halftime show, but it will have a heavy presence in the festivities leading up to the game.

Migos, Ludacris, Lil Jon and multiple other Atlanta-based artists have been announced for the EA Sports Bowl, which is part of the Bud Light Super Bowl Music Fest.

The upcoming show is scheduled to take place at the State Farm Arena in Atlanta on January 31, 2019. Lil Yachty, Lil Baby, Metro Boomin and a special unannounced guest round out the performers for the concert.

“I’m proud to welcome everyone to Atlanta, my hometown, alongside EA Sports,” Ludacris said in a press release. “You know me and my friends are going to celebrate Atlanta’s amazing music and culture, this is going to be a night you won’t want to miss.”

The ATL’s own Quality Control Music is slated to be well represented at the show with Migos, Lil Yachty and Lil Baby scheduled to perform. The label’s founders, Kevin “Coach K” Lee and Pierre “Pee” Thomas, commented on their heavy presence in the lineup via press release.

“Quality Control was born in the streets of Atlanta, so it made sense for us to participate with EA Sports to help showcase Atlanta Hip-Hop as the official kickoff to the biggest sports weekend of the year,” the two said.

The Bud Light Super Bowl Music Fest runs from January 31 to February 2 ahead of the NFL’s premier game on February 3. Tickets go on sale this Friday (November 9) at SuperBowlMusicFest.com.
