Vanilla Ice was one of 500 passengers aboard Emirates Flight 203 headed from Dubai to John F. Kennedy International Airport on Wednesday (September 5). During the flight, several passengers started vomiting and presenting other flu-like symptoms.

According to CNN, the plane had to be quarantined once it landed and several people were taken to the hospital.

Mr. Ice Ice Baby couldn’t believe what he was seeing. He addressed the situation as it unfolded on Twitter.

“So I just landed from Dubai and now there is like tons of ambulances and fire trucks and police all over the place.”

Ice continued describing the scene in another post and thanking his lucky stars he wasn’t on the bottom floor of the plane.

“This is crazy,” he wrote alongside video footage of the plane. “Apparently there is over 100 people sick on the bottom floor, so happy I’m up top, it’s a double-decker plane 380.”

Erin Sykes, another passenger on the plane, told CNN it was clear people were already sick before they even took off.

“I asked the (flight attendant) for a mask before we even took off, but there was none available,” Sykes said. “It was so obvious that a large number of people were ill well before takeoff. People were coughing the whole time. Now some people have fevers over 100,” she added. “They should never had been allowed to board.”

The airline reportedly said ll passengers were screened and three passengers and seven crew members were transported to a hospital. Nine others were screened at the airport and cleared to leave.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention said 11 people went to the hospital.

Ice has a history of bad luck on planes. In 2016, a Delta aircraft took off without him and Ice proceeded to have an epic meltdown. [apple_news_ad type=”any”]
