Joe Budden shared a seemingly innocuous photo of himself to his Instagram account on Thursday (July 19). But, evidently that was enough to get Lupe Fiasco riled up and ready to fight Budden — in Street Fighter.
The kung fu-loving Lupe popped up in Budden’s comment section, challenging the Slaughterhouse vet to an old-fashioned showdown.
“This nigga sitting on this ultra modern balcony enjoying a pussy ass summer breeze with the sock shoes staring of into the distance looking at nothing when he could be looking at these HANDS!” Fiasco wrote. “Stop the ducking Joe! Streets is calling you! STREET FIGHTER THAT IS! You can go back to gazing into the heart of clarity once you catch these multiple L’s.”
The DROGAS Light rapper famously battled one of the game’s best players, Daigo Umehara, during a Street Fighter V exhibition in 2016. It resulted in three-to-two win for Lupe, proving he’s definitely skilled in video game martial arts.

That same year, Budden claimed he’d “retire” Lupe from Street Fighter altogether. It also looked like Budden had been playing the game behind the scenes. [apple_news_ad type=”any”]
On Friday (July 20), when asked by a Twitter user what he did to Lupe, Budden responded, “Look for him…. haven’t found him yet tho for some strange reason.” [apple_news_ad type=”any”]
