G-Eazy Breaks Silence Following His Arrest

G-Eazy took to Instagram on Sunday (May 6) to issue a statement following his May 3 arrest. The Beautiful & Damned rapper emphasized his gratitude throughout the message, saying he’s “grateful and blessed” to be a free man while also mentioning that he’s “embarrassed” about the episode.

“Embarrassed & apologetic beyond words about the incident, but above all I’m so fucking grateful they let me go, craziest experience of my life, awful night with a lot of bad luck and some even worse decisions, but like I said I’m grateful as fuck to be a free man, back on tour performing for the fans,” he wrote. “Thank you to everyone who’s held me down along the way and supported this journey, I appreciate you more than you’ll ever know. Love.”

The Bay Area native was at a nightclub in Stockholm, Sweden when he got into an altercation with club security. Upon their arrival, police found the 28-year-old in possession of 1.5 grams of cocaine and ultimately charged him with assaulting an officer, violent resistance and illegal drug possession.

He wasn’t taken to jail, however, as he alluded in his statement. Instead, he was allowed to leave the country to make his next tour stop in Copenhagen, Denmark.

In January, G-Eazy discussed his struggle with addiction during an interview on The Breakfast Club.

I think sometimes the line between recreation or just tapping in turns into leaning on or depending on or escaping from,” he said. It’s a balance, it’s a vicious cycle, I’m not gonna lie. Sometimes, I’ll just be smooth and tap out for a couple weeks and just be.”

        1. if your crime history is ok then u out after a couple of hours, the Court come mouths later…no bail system.

    1. lol worst experience in his life? Sounds like the boy has lived a blessed life, then.

    2. Wow…how lucky can you get? Honestly they both make great music together…hopefully this teaches him a valuable lesson in life! But honestly I really don’t think he’s done with drugs….for now maybe only cause he was shaken up! He needs to go to rehab & get cleaned up while he is able to…I’ll give it 6 months & he’ll forget & start back up with his habit…& that’s being pretty generous! Hopefully I’m wrong! God Bless you Easy! Keep the faith & you just might pull thur this habit!! ✌

    3. HE HAD A GRAM AND A HALF OF COKE ON HIM, IT’S IN THE NEWS, AND HE DIDN’T GET CHARGED??? I GET IT IF THEY LET HIM TOSS IT ON THE LOW AND IT’S DONE AND OVER BUT IT’S PUBLIC KNOWLEDGE AND NO CHARGES? WEIRD…

      1. He has charges from that night… He was just stating that he is happy that they didn’t disrupt his tour by keeping him behind bars. He was detained only 24 hours. He has 2yrs probation and nine thousand in fines for this, I believe.
