G-Eazy took to Instagram on Sunday (May 6) to issue a statement following his May 3 arrest. The Beautiful & Damned rapper emphasized his gratitude throughout the message, saying he’s “grateful and blessed” to be a free man while also mentioning that he’s “embarrassed” about the episode.

“Embarrassed & apologetic beyond words about the incident, but above all I’m so fucking grateful they let me go, craziest experience of my life, awful night with a lot of bad luck and some even worse decisions, but like I said I’m grateful as fuck to be a free man, back on tour performing for the fans,” he wrote. “Thank you to everyone who’s held me down along the way and supported this journey, I appreciate you more than you’ll ever know. Love.”

Upon their arrival, police found the 28-year-old in possession of 1.5 grams of cocaine and ultimately charged him with assaulting an officer, violent resistance and illegal drug possession.
