At this stage in his career, Snoop Dogg pretty much does whatever he wants. After releasing the first video from his upcoming gospel album Bible Of Love earlier this month, the West Coast O.G. is back with a new EP — 220.
Snoop made the announcement via Instagram late Monday night (February 19) and revealed producer My Guy Mars provided the beats.
“220 ft. @mr_goldie_loc Hood Day Anthem!” he wrote. “Full EP dropping midnight. Produced by @MYGUYMARS.”
Featuring eight tracks, 220 opens with the appropriately titled “Intro,” which finds Snoop talking about how the game doesn’t change — just the players.
“I want to send a shout out to all the famous players globally, you dig?” he proclaims.”If you a famous player, this one’s for you.”
“He’s full of surprises,” Kokane tells HipHopDX. “He hit me up on Instagram and said, ‘Kok I need you.’ We chopped it up and he told me he was on a deadline and had to take care of some other things. So, I went in and knocked it out. I wrote the song in my head on the way to the studio. It took about 10 minutes for me to lay it down.
“We just shot a video for it, too. It was the biggest all-star event ever— Snoop was DJing, Floyd Mayweather was there. It’s a who’s who in the video. Different actors are a part of the video.”
Guests on the EP include October London, Jacquees, Dreezy, Goldie Loc, LunchMoney Lewis, Kokane and Hypnotic Brass Ensemble.

This is actually better that his last album Neva Left. Snoop is independent, he re-started Doggystyle so he he can put out any record he wants.
It’s so disheartening to hear a westcoast album have those damn watersprinkler-hihats and trap-ish beats. Not a good look Snoop.
SUPERRRRRRRR WAAAAACKKKK!!!! does he have any A&R’s or real homie’s to look him in the eye and tell him he sounding wack like a Kool Moe Dee joint right now played out beats . wack choruses. ummm SNOOPPPPP new team!!!! get rid of your fake homies they aint being real with you. TDE gets it . unique flavors , dope writing this is disheartening I grew up off snoop
Your right Snoop should sit down and listen to the new cats coming out the west thats crackin. He is sounding tired right now.He was supposed to be coming with Doggystyle Records and he put out some guy Young Sagg and then this .lol. Tired
What is this.I liked one beat on the Whole EP. Snoop used to pick the coolest beats.least Pharrell had him trying new stuff noone else was doing this EP is exactly why young rappers start looking at old rappers like pac said larry holmes flabby n sick. like this EP is horrible. The gospel stuff corny , last three Albums corny. Reggae corny. Snoop still dope rapping its just his production
Cmon man this is sad. you can tell when people get too much money noone wants to say no.noone wants to say not dope Calvin. Smh. I sure will say it. not dope CAlvin. The joint W Jaquees was ok. lol the rest was dated sounding . go get Punch from TDE or someone with a ear to tell you the truth fam. your squad of yes men has to go.Why do you keep putting October never original London on your album. Smh. your forcing him on us.With your co sign he is not moving the needle for a reason . he is stale and we heard him before. NEXT

Snoop so embarrassed about his uncle Ben hairline that he has to wear a tee with a picture of how he used to look with hair lmao.
Hairline jokes…. Yawn.
Yes. Those pics are proof “look i once had hair ok” lol
Hahaha exactly bro
What the fuck. Only the last song wasn’t that bad at all.
This ep is a fucking 2/10
That waves and Motivation tracks are trash wtffff
Please retire you spineless hypocrite rat.
Snoop getting similar reactions that Eminem got. Look people, they’ve been doing it for years, they’ve stamped their mark in the history books! Be grateful they’re still making music if you’re fan, you don’t have to like everything they do! And what you might not like, the next person will. Get over yourself, they don’t make music specifically for you! They hit and they miss, if you can do better I’m all ears!
Seriously though
Trash
Kokane sucks. Him having an opinion is an indicator that this is hot trash. Name one good Kokane track ever (without Sugafree)? Well wait eternally. Dude is 50. He has sucked for 30 years. Let’s push these wack motherfuckers out of hip-hop already…
WTF…Funk Upon A Rhyme is an all time classic…Kokane and Above The Law brought ORIGINAL funk into the next millenium.
Snoop Still dope .Rapping and Concepts He just needs better choices in the direction of production .Paid the Cost , R&G, Doggystyle were classics. his production was super dope. This new stuff sounds uninspired. Go get w Raphael Saadiq, No Id, Pharrell, Dj Quik, Sounwave, Dj Dahi, , Questlove , 9th wonder and the soul council, terrace martin…Get some new blood around you.People who will tell you WACKKKKK JUICE when you need to hear it lol. because on the last few projects you needed to hear it
