When Kanye West exploded into an angry rant during his Saint Pablo Tour last year, two of his targets were an unsuspecting Drake and DJ Khaled. During the outburst, Yeezy reportedly said their music was “overplayed” on the radio. “Is it just me or did you hear that song [“For Free”] so many times?” Kanye said at a November 2016 show in Sacramento. “You know what it is, though? Because I love Drake. I love Khaled. But they set that song up, bro.” The comments only seemed to confuse Drake.

“I think everybody has their own little things going on,” Drake said in an interview with Beats 1’s OVO Sound Radio. “I’m not really sure what he’s referring to half the time because, in the same breath, I went from working on a project with him to him sort of, like, publicly shitting on me and DJ Khaled for being on the radio too much.”

West, however, denies he ever said this. When approached by a member of the paparazzi (read: stalker) in Woodland Hills, California on Monday (February 20), he was asked about the supposed feud between the two over allegedly saying Drake’s music is overplayed.

“I agree with you, I think Drake’s overplayed bro,” the unidentified man said, to which West responded, “I never said that.”

But didn’t he?
