A$AP Ferg is currently on an Australian Tour.

Before heading to the land down under, Ferg spoke with XXL at streetwear store Community 54 in Lower Manhattan about what’s next for him musically and his Trap Lord brand.

Ferg told XXL that he’s already working on his second studio album, the follow-up to 2013’s Trap Lord.

“The album is good,” he said. “I don’t know when it’s coming out, but we got a lot of good stuff. You can hear the growth in the album. You can hear some innovation going on.”

Sonically, fans can expect to hear Ferg collaborating with some familiar producers and others he aspired to work with since he began rapping.

“It’s more musical,” Ferg said of the untitled album. “It’s just me going out the box. It’s not really my box. If you know me and my music, I do whatever the fuck I want to do… I traveled the world. I worked with everyone from Madonna to Skrillex down to Nick Jonas…Jennifer Hudson, Rowdy Rebel before he got locked up.”

Ferg also mentioned that each member of the A$AP Mob is prepping their own solo mixtapes, which he says “are practically done already.” He’s developed his own label, as well, but hasn’t figured out a name for it.

“Marty [Baller] the first guy and I’m working with Crystal Caines and Stelios Phili, my producer, for the label,” he said.
