Jay Z & Beyonce’s Joint Album To Be Released On Tidal, DJ Skee Says

DJ Skee announced today (April 22) that Jay Z and Beyonce’s new album will be released on Tidal.

On today’s episode of SKEE TV, he encouraged people to take the “Red Pill” and buy into paid streaming services.

“The music business is at war again, this time with itself,” he said. “The general consensus, is that streaming is the future.”

Later in the video, he discussed Jay Z and Beyonce‘s forthcoming album.

“I first reported last year that Jay Z and Beyonce were working on a joint album, which by the way is finally nearing completion, and my sources are saying it will be released exclusively on Tidal,” DJ Skee says.

    1. Really DJ Skee…it’s going to be released exclusively on Tidal?

I guess next you are going to tell us the sky is blue

      1. It makes sense that it is released exclusively on Tidal. But I never would have guessed that. I never would have guessed we are finally in an age where you cannot buy music at a store anymore.

    2. yay…something for the totally pop crowd! this isn’t for hiphop! yay! it’s gonna sell big! but it’s gonna be sorry as fuck!!! yay again!!

    3. This is Jay’s third consecutive joint album. Jay Z ft Kanye West in Watch the Throne, Jay Z ft Samsung in Magna Carter and finally his forthcoming joint album with Beyonce which remains untitled. Go support that real shi when it drops boy boy! Hov the great!

    4. He’s trying to save the tidal flop with this exclusive album, but it’s not going to work. No one is going to sign up for this thing just to hear a jayz/beyonce album besides stan extremists.

    5. Used to love Jay-Z music. It is clearer than ever now that his stuff now is 0% about art/music and 100% marketing/money. Like his last advertisement/album this one is being created strictly to get subscribers for this Tidal thing. It will be a bunch of slapped together trends and advertisements for products no one should be buying. Because of the stature of the performers few will realize they are ingesting garbage, much like a McDonald’s burger. The worse thing about this whole thing is they are aware of the market research showing blacks are the biggest consumers of all demographics. They know blacks will spend on whatever is sold to them and that quality doesn’t matter.

      1. that these markets you speak of have stats that say blacks have heavily invested in each of their last 2 albums. the brothers and sisters I know know these 2 are FAR GONE and catering to the upper crust suburb crowd

    6. Unfortunately for him, he can’t see from the outside. This album wouldn’t sell if it were released traditionally, so it damn sho won’t save Tidal.

They don’t understand, hardcore Jay-Z fans don’t want to hear him doing love duets with his wife. Diehard Beyoncé fans don’t want to hear her with Jay-Z, especially her few male fans who fantasize about hittin that.

This project is going to damage their brand more than help Tidal. The one positive I see is that they won’t have to suffer the embarrassment of selling something like 60,000 units the first week of a joint project between two superstars.

      1. these followers gonna eat it up because they wanna be associated with the elite “in” thing to do and them 2 gonna collect mil’s for another year and fall back & call their own shots. go back and study those lessons newborn

      2. Yeah, um “you delusional” or whatever your name is. That’s why their joint tour did so well right? Ok.

      3. Jay/Beyonce joint tour was a big success. Again, it was the media who tried to plant fake stories about it not selling well, when it fact did amazingly well. Numbers don’t lie, check the scoreboard.

    7. So after 2 weeks Tidal is a flop?! Hip-Hop fans are so short sighted, not wonder artists don’t care anymore. And why did no one have a problem when it was someone else (Apple, record execs, etc.) making the money? Now that Jay is making it, the whole industry and the media are trying to bring it down? Think we know the answer to that…

      1. in this day of age, the way technology is. 2 Weeks is a veryyyyy long time. Technology, arts, internet everything is moving fast. news, so fast. things can fail in a week nowadays and on to the next….this was a dumb ass business to even go into for Jay Z he should fire his advisors. No one pays for music today and they arent going to start to

    8. There is going to have to be some good albums released through here in order for people to get on board. I say 5 albums.

      Jay-Z/Beyonce
      Jay-Z Solo
      J Cole
      Jay Electronica
      Rihanna

If all these albums come out and they are really good, then I think people will jump on the exclusiveness bus then then again once it leaks it leaks.
