During the second half of DJ Mustard’s sit-down with Hip Hop executive Steve Lobel, Mustard delves into his aspirations and reveals who he is planning to work with in the future.
After saying to Lobel in the last episode that his favorite rapper is Drake and not YG, Mustard tells the host that he’s back at it with his longtime West Coast collaborator.
“I’m finna go back in with YG and do this second album,” Mustard says. “That’s a big move for me and him. We’re doing the second album to really show people this is what we came here for. We know what we’re doing.”
Mustard also mentions that he’s doing “stuff” with Meek and Jeezy.

“Hopefully,” he says, he’ll be able to work with other Roc Nation artists such as Hov, Beyonce and Rihanna.
Nabbing those artists could help Mustard reach his goals. The 10 Summers DJ tells Lobel that in 10 years, he wants to be “one of the best” and “one of the greatest.”
“This ain’t enough,” Mustard says. “We’re still striving to be the next Dres, the next Jay Z, the next Tupacs, the next Biggies. We’re still striving to be that.”
