Clique TV caught up with Kanye West at the A.P.C. offices in France recently while there to interview A.P.C. founder Jean Touitou.
Kanye covered a variety of topics, ranging from his fashion aspirations, racism, the future and his “healthy competition” with Drake.
Musically, Kanye says Drake has been inspiring his recent resurgence.
“I look at Drake as an amazing sparring partner,” he says during the interview. “He’s someone who’s like, ‘C’mon man. Get back up, man, bow. Get back up. What’s up? What’s up bro? What you doing?'”
Kanye says he was “getting fat” before he noticed Drake was breaking records on Billboard charts.
“Bow! Bow! Bow! Fourteen hits, same as Paul McCartney. Bow!” ‘Ye says, excitedly. “I was like, ‘Wow. Okay let me go to the studio. Let me get these lyrics up. Let me see what’s happening.’ That’s where you’re getting these records from.”

Why is this dude so obsessed with Drake? He’s a Drake stan the same way Jay-Z was a Nas stan.
Everybody’s a Drake Stan. Including yo’ bitxh a&&.
Healthy Competition…That’s exactly what hip-hop & rap needs. If artists spent less time dissing each other and playing up fake beef and spent more time in the studio the state of hip-hop and music in general would be a whole lot better.
